 Today we had to say good-bye to Tigger.  He had CRF (chronic renal failure). We had been giving him IV's and syringe feeding him for a couple of weeks.  We had hoped he would have come around and started to eat on his own again.  But it was time.  We will miss Tigger.  He was 15 yrs old.

My new Eyes

Ok, I only have a really small mark left under my eyes, maybe you can't even see it. But here's my new eyes!!!! Now, go look at my Facebook profile picture, and you'll see the HUGE difference!! I couldn't be more happy! I am going to get some new eye makeup this week. I've never bought anything other than a creamy kind of color because you could never see it before! I'm so excited!! Yea!

Happy Birthday Hayle!! 14 Today!

I just arrived home, had a great flight!! I ate and slept and I even ran into a coupla neighbors on my flight! They said they were on my outbound flight as well, but I didn't see them. We were an hour and a half late, but that's ok. I can't wait for Hayle to get home from school! We're going to dinner tonight at a great Italian restaurant by us.

"Best Month Ever"

VH1 has a show called "Best Week Ever".
Looks like Gerry has had the "Best Month Ever".

• His wrestling team has been breaking all sorts of school records.
• They won the Regions Championship - first time ever in the school's history.
• His team placed 7th at the State Championship, out of around 70 schools - first time the school finished in the top 10.
• Gerry and his team are being honored and recognized by the School Board for an outstanding year.

And if all of that wasn't enough, he was named
"Teacher of the Month".

My Hero's

I couldn't find any pictures on moms computer of hero's or angels, but I have to tell you, if you ever don't feel well, these are the 3 people to grab up! SO I get home at like around 11pm on Monday night. I step about an inch with each leg. Mike gets me up all the stairs very slowly and carefully. Meanwhile Bridget and Mom are running around the room getting chairs, pillows, towels, throw up bowls, water, you name it. My insulin has run out and squeamish Mike completely changes the entire thing, including putting the needle in and taking it back out. Then I insist on brushing my teeth. Mike holds a bowl for me to spit water into, and I spit all over HIS hand. He made the slightest little sound, that's how I knew I got him, and that made me laugh. He even wiped my face with a washcloth. For the next two days, Bridget and mom have waited on me hand and foot. Mom won't leave my side, and Bridget has been cooking, and serving me delicious meals, in pretty white dishes. Mom gets up when I do, they make me comfortable! They are great!! Well, we're expecting a blizzard tonight, so we are in for a few days I think.

Anyway, we just needed a new post.

So, Pete and I took our 'Life In The UK' test today and both passed. This means that in a year, we take the 'Citizenship' test and we will carry both passports, British and US. It also means Hayle can live and work here throughout her life if she chooses and all that comes with that.

Kathy, I am so sorry about your tooth. I assume you are not going to work until it's fixed? What I would do, is take pictures of your face while it is missing. I know right now it may not sounds like fun, but think of the laughs when it's all fixed! You can't repeat it. I would SO do it! Even if you don't share them with all of us (a crime!) you can laugh at it.

Mom, I sent your bday card and 2 days later had to go to the post office to mail bridgets because I used my last stamp on yours..and the lady told me it would be £1.35 (I only put .91 on yours) and they were the same size. I hope you get it......

Happy New Year!!

Even though we were a really small group, we had a really good time!!! Did you all stay up til midnight? Or did you go to bed early? what'd you do? We made it, but went immediately to bed afterwords. We had the most delish spaghetti and meatballs, and the next day a ginormous prime rib! YUM!! It was all about the food!! Right now, I'm anxiously waiting for the kennel to open to go pick up my scrumptious doggies!!!!!! Hayle has been going crazy to see them! Ok, I'm gonna head over, they open in 20 minutes!

Say a little prayer for her....

I have only met this sweet little girl one time, through my friend Margie, but she touched my heart in a matter of minutes. She is the strongest little girl, with a smile and personality that glows. A few months ago, you would have never guessed that she is battling brain cancer for the 3rd time. She is only 3 years old. She just recently was admitted the hospital and has since fell into a coma. Please keep Cali and her family in your prayers.

Dad's Cross in Dahlonega

For those who don't know it, Kathy bought a cross for Dad up in Dahlonega and every Memorial Day, Veteran Day, 4th of July they place the cross out on the roads through and around the city. Here's Dad's this year.

Disney Paris

Well, we needed another post change.  So Disney was SOO much fun!!  Is anyone thinking of coming over here in the next year??  I've been to more places this year and would love to show you around!!  Shakespeare's birthplace, Disneyland Paris, our town center is opening a massive new shopping mall in October, of course London, we have Oakwood theme park one hour away, Cornwall a beach town in England.  So Disney was really, really cool.  It's smaller but the cool part is we walked from our hotel to both parks and 'Disney Village' which is like Downtown Disney.  So you walk everywhere, easily.  And the parks are the same, but different.  And it really makes you want to learn another language!! I'm going to look into that again.  One more time on Italian.  But Pete said he'd try it with me, so it would make it easier to practice.  So, in the picture, Hayle is pulling Pluto's tail.  In our hotel room, we went to a VIP lounge for breakfast every morning, literally across the hall from our room, and character would join us.

So just an interesting FYI...

A friend of mine is an art director. He has been involved in some Cartoon Network cartoons like Sealab 2021 and Frisky Dingo. Anyway, he just started work on a new show, and asked me to come in and have my face drawn for a character!

So I will be famous soon enough. Expect that I stop calling/blogging/caring about you all soon.

No telling when it airs. I know my character is going to be poisoned. I had to have my picture taken making gagging faces and pretending to throw up in my mouth. He said that they'll probably use my face for other stuff to. I basically signed away the rights to my likeness so I don't have one anymore. And it may not look like me when it airs (he mentioned I could be blonde with warts). BUT for some reason, I'm still flattered. I should have my 2-D image tomorrow to show you all. Fun.

Hayle

Ok, Hayle is really growing up!!  You all know she started babysitting, opened a bank account, carries a debit card to access her bank account and makes her deposits, checks her balance and transfers money from savings and the debit part.  Well NOW, she was dying to spend money today!  She transferred money from savings so she could spend some.  We stopped at a local spa, and she had her eyebrows waxed!!  Really, it was a little 'tidy up'.  Not much taken off, but she was so cute!  Then we walked over to the Aveda salon, where she discussed some options and made an appointment for Monday for some highlights.  On to the drug store where she picked up some make up items.  She left feeling 'very pretty'.  Just what a girl needs!!  Yeah Day!

What was the best part of your weekend??

Ok, I wish everyone would post more!  I miss you all, and want to hear more about your lives!!  So, just for fun, tell me what was the best part of your weekend, or of yesterday??

For me, it was the unexpected walk to the pier, stopping for a beer/wine and enjoying the sunshine!  It's so rare here.  Then Pete made me a most delicious sandwaich for dinner, yummy!

Kilroy & Maw

Not sure how many of you know that I've started a little endeavor with a friend of mine, Sarah Watts. She's an amazing illustrator who shares with me a love of gig poster artwork. So we've started contacting bands and making posters. We collaborate on design, she illustrates, and then I've been screenprinting them. So far we've been doing really well, and I just wanted to share with the fam some of our work. You might not know the bands (mostly indie names), but the artwork is pretty regardless.

The name of our business is Kilroy & Maw. Kilroy is a reference to grandpa. Remember how he used to always leave notes all over that said, "Kilroy was here" ? Granted, it's a saying that has history and pop culture reference (this wiki article about it was interesting to me and added a bit more meaning). Maw is a reference to Sarah's grandma.

We've only done 3 posters so far, but we have more in the works. Pretty soon we will have a website up (thank you Christy!), but in the meantime here is our etsy site:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GERRY!

Look at BJ's face!  It makes me laugh!  I went to get the dogs out of the dog pen area, and one of the dogs had dug  hole, rocks and dirt flung everywhere.  I was easy to see which dog it was, look at the dirt on his face!!!

A Movie for the 4th of July Girl

This is Christy posting from my mom's account because I am not a contributor.

This is a short film about a couple returning home from vacation to find some strangers living in their home. When they call the police it seems something even spookier has happened nobody sees or hears the couple.

Background: Dedicated to Brittany our little 4th of July Baby. This piece started as a Twilight Zone scary movie, but quickly turned comical as we attempted to shoot this without editing. Toward the end you will notice some very good "special effects" as we attempt the final scene. Also, note that Neil's girlfriend, Vanessa, was an awesome sport she was in the house for about 5 seconds when she was informed she was in our movie and playing the character of Eddie's Fiance.

Peachtree Road Race 10K

Charlie ran the 40th Annual Peachtree Road Race with 55,000 other runners today and finished in under an hour.
