I'm feeling the Love.....And our forecast tonight calls for 3 more inches of snow. I can't wait to get back to the Palm trees and Beaches...

I'm home. Finally. We got 45 inches of snow in 4 days. Thats a lot of snow..... then we lost the electricity. We also have a septic tank, so when you lose electricity you lose your water. Yes that means no flushing toilets, and no running water, no showers, and cold. We weathered the first night and after a bottle of wine Mike went for a nutty butty but they were already soft so we thought we better put the good stuff in the snow to keep it frozen, so we buried some steaks, chicken, meatballs beer, and ice cream. The next morning we thought of going to a hotel, we were to cold, but before we could, we had to get someone to plow our driveway. The person who usually does it says it would be a couple of days. He didn't care when I said that I had to go to the bathroom.... I don't think he understood. So I found some else. When we could get a car out of the garage we brought out the suitcase, and when we were going back into the house to get more stuff, I saw a nutty butty sticking out of the snow, How Fun?? So I ate it. hope this happens all the time.... Now next week we are going to have a scavenger hunt for the steaks......Oh boy what fun!!!!

I wish we had that much snow. It is still snowing here and we have about 3 1/2 inches so far. Very exciting for me.

Barb, love the new format. Also Rick, did you ever see palm trees full of snow? Central Fl. got 2 inches today.....Palm trees look pretty when they are snow covered. I think it snowed just for you...Bridget, your scavenger hunt sounds like fun. Actually, finding a nutty butty in the snow sounds awesome....Now, you found an ice cream tree, I'll start looking for the money tree or pot of gold, either one will do.

I can't believe how quickly the snow is melting. So disappointing. I thought it would be here for a while. I did go out on a little excursion to take pictures. You can see them on my flickr site. I don't want to keep posting all my scenic pictures on facebook all the time. Most people are not interested in those. They like to see people.

Happy Valentine's Day

You guys are NOT going to believe this! So I told you Hayle and I are going to London on Wednesday to have lunch and shop. (I only did that because this is her half term break and it's the only thing I have planned for her to do, she does have a birthday party to go to tomorrow though) So, I looked online to see who our local MP was, and I sent him and email asking if we could get inside to see the Houses of Parliament. He has since emailed me 3 times, coordinating things, and we have a private tour on Wednesday with a member of his staff!!! How cool is that??!!!!

Nancy, that is fabulous. You do do some really great things. What even made you think of something like THAT? Kathy and I took a road trip yesterday. we drove along ft. Lauderdale beach.Even though it was cold, there were so many people on the beach. It was sunny and the palm trees were gorgeous. We were thinking of Rick and wishing he was here.

Rick? Why would you think of Rick when seeing the beach and palm trees?? That's weird?

How cool Nancy! John says he is jealous. Mom and Kathy, sounds really nice. Even if it is cold outside, with the heat on in the car you would never know the difference. Sounds like you were really enjoying living in sunny south FL. I could go for some of that.
I took a ride into Atlanta yesterday and took pictures of some old Railroad Depots. I met someone from camera club who moved up from Miami 12 years ago and never has anyone to go out shooting with. We've gone out twice now.
I have work today--sucks. I hate going in after not working for 8 days straight. Oh well, someone's gotta do it.
Jen Lesh is hear to have John help her fix her girlfriend's car. Jen is the boy so she gets to do those things
