Fly the Flag Campaign

On Monday, September 11th, 2006, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States.

Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this fifth anniversary of our country's worst tragedy. We do this in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.

In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds.

So take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and fly an American flag of any size on 9/11.

Hmm, I have to find mine. John probably knows where it is. We usually fly ours for all the holidays.
I feel like I have been missing out. I swear I only missed reading for a day and look at all that has happened. Loved that picture of Hayle.
John and I went to Kennesaw to buy a travel bag for my golf clubs for my trip to FL. I bought some beautiful pink bolf balls and pink gloves. I am really looking forward to this trip. Tony and Erin tagged along and we went to Kennesaw Mountain and watched them shoot off a cannon. Surprisingly they only had Union Soldiers there. Oh, probably because they won. Anyway, we had a fun day.

You're so right Brittany. I'm all about the sexy look. But I am sure you know that by how careful I am about keeping in shape.

I don't have a flag.

I don't have a ticket to Boca.

I don't have a new job yet.

I don't have pink gloves or golf clubs.

I don't have a cool camera.

I'm not going to Fashion Rocks.

Tony & Erin never call me.

I didn't even know Brittany had a blog.

I don't have a "Vera" Dress.

I'm having a bad hair day and I hate my current job. And I'm hungry. But only for chocolate. Which means I'm not really hungry- I just want to soothe the jealousy with sweets. Which will only make me fat. I mean fatter.

My life is miserable. Not really if you put it into perspective. But I don't want to. Perspective sucks. Everyone say a prayer I get this job tomorrow. And maybe they'll miraculously give me a sign-on bonus and I'll buy a ticket to Boca. And then everything will be better.

Melissa, don't sound so sad. You have the job and we all love you. What more could you want?

Melissa, don't be sad. I really wish I was going to Boca too. I know it's hard because you're a heck of a lot closer than I am, but I still think about all of them down there every day too. I am hoping you will get the job you want as well!!

Last night the BBC hd a special on tv called 9/11 the Twin Towers. I think it was on last year as well. It was a documentary of the real people who survived and some who didn't (represented by family members who spoke with them) They had actors playing them so it was like a film. But one guy who survived, was one floor below where the plane struck, talking on the phone when the 2nd plane hit the building. I do not know how they created the scene, obviously with computers, but it shook me! They showed the plane, then him seeing it, then the plane again. And you see it coming. Coming SO FAST, right at him, and right into the building. It was terrifying. But I missed part 2, because they interrupt it for 1/2 hour of news. Anyway, whats going on over there? Where is everyone?

I use mostly Bobbi Brown make up. I have a Favorite blush. I've used it almost every day for so long, and it's almost gone. every time I put it on, I think, oh, I've got to get more before it's gone. It's so natural looking, not pink or red or corally, it's called Toast. Today I went to put it on, and noticed something. It was upside down in my draw and as I went to pick it up, right above the word toast, it said 'eye shadow'. Isn't that nice? Ugh! Oh well, I still like it for my cheek color
