Wake Up People

Where is everyone? I am like Nancy, I get up and go to the blog to see what is going on with the family and I feel like this has become a diary that only me and Nancy share. Occasionally Mom or Kathy chime in. We actually look forward to hearing from the rest of you. Don't think your days are boring until we tell you they are. Tell us about your day and we'll be the judges.
Surely Charlie has some news about NY. And doesn't Brittany work in the fashion industry? I know there is excitement there. She travels all the time. Bridget, you are looking for a house aren't you? Linda just had a new grandson--still waiting for some pictures. Barbara just came back from NYC--HELLO BRAUN FAMILY-- wake up and tell us your stories.

Ok, so today I have a closing and after it is over I have to drive all the way to Cumming to bring the check to my office. Then I am showing homes tonight at 6:45--yuck. That was scheduled by my partner. Then I might try to swing by the camera club meeting. That's what I have planned so far. Yesterday I drove all the way to Blue Ridge to take pictures of the moon with Michael and it began to rain as soon as we got our cameras set up. We never saw the moon. Four hours of driving and no pictures. Oh well.

Hi Mary, Hi Mom. So I went to the gym this morning. I did not work out with Richard, I did it on my own. I even made myself sweat!! Then I did laundry. I went to a 12:00 meeting for the Penarth Pier Pavilion which was VERY boring! I even texted that to Pete during the meeting. I stopped at Hayle's school to pick up some brochures for a fundraiser I am running. I am giving a talk at their assembly next Tuesday to announce we're planning a prom!! First ever! Very excited about that! I found a band I think the kids will love!!! So now I'm sitting on the couch watching Judge Judy. But it's a repeat and I've seen it before. Talked to mom and she got me excited about planning a menu for Christmas!! Yay!

ok, Pete's family does the Feast of the Seven Fishes for Christmas Eve. I'm thinking of doing that. You HAVE to come hungry! Here's what I'm thinking of:

Stuffed tilapia
Shrimp Gumbo
Crap cake
Lobster bisque
Bacon wrapped Scallops
Baked clams
Stuffed calamari

Antipasta
Sausage & peppers
Rice balls
Eggplant parm

Wow, Nancy, John may come down just for Christmas Eve dinner. Mom might not attend--she is not really a seafood eater. Had my closing and drove to Cumming. Now I have to look up a listing for someone so I can show them at 6:45. During my closing John texted that he got a deer. Sorry all you Bambi lovers, but we eat Bambi. It saves on the grocery bill and we just like it. Anyway, we are all excited about that. Then I had a buyer email me about a house he wants to put an offer on so I will probably be working on that as well today. Busy, busy busy!!!

Yay! on the work stuff. Bambi....sniff....:-(

And I talked to mom, she loves tilapia and eats crab cakes too!

I walked the dog this morning. Barb was in NY? Why didn't she call? I will meet anyone in NY. Love any excuse to go in. We have an open house this Sunday, so we have to drive around with Jackson for 4 hours. That will be fun. You know how Mike will have me cleaning beforehand. I'm hiding right now. Jimmy is here for the weekend, I'm sure Mike will have things for him to do. Tomorrow we are going to dinner with my girlfriends, and their husbands in King of Prussia. Yes we are looking for a house in Florida, but this economy has us scared. Mike is retiring in three years so I have to stop spending money. Its a scarey thought. Oh well thats all I got.

I'm exhausted and going to bed. tomorrow Hayle and I are doing another boot sale. I'll try to take some pictures. Crap, I don't feel like it. I want to sleep in. But I have to get all this crap out of our front room now. Grrrrrr.

That was my test blog. Most of the time when I write something, it makes me sign in again, and when that happens I have to go to another page and it loses what I wrote and then I get mad and don't re-write it.
So, since I don't do much, I will give you an update on Neil. He leaves tomorrow for a month long stay in Kodiak, Alaska. His friend Parker, graduated yesterday and is a full fledge SEAL.
Oh, and Nancy - your menu for Xmas eve is already making me hungry. Can't wait.

So glad to see everyone posting. Bridget maybe you should be looking for a smaller home--for retirement. Of course, if you love the house you are in just pay it off and live there. You have been there a long time and 3 years isn't that long--is it?
I hope Neil has some long johns. Kodiak just experienced an epic storm.
I am taking a night photography course tomorrow. I am really looking forward to it. I'm sure you will all see some of my shots later tomorrow night or Sunday morning.
I have been really busy with real estate. I wrote a contract today and I am writing another one Sunday. We have 3 closings next week--but that is all until January. We already have 4 to close next year.

that's great Mary!!
Bridget, Mary may be right? 3 years isn't that long. Do you want to be tied down to Naples after Mike retires? Maybe you do, I don't know? Maybe Naples is the perfect retirement place? anyway......
Kathy, does that mean Neil is a full fledged SEAL after Kodiak?? And, that's been happening to me with the blog too. I hit the back arrow and enter my post again and it takes it.

I want to retire now, but i can't. Hey Bridge, remember to find a place in Fla big enough to have a rental, remember I want to retire in Fla too and I'm good about making payments.. Nancy, your Xmas meal SOUNDS good but where's the Beef or Pasta? Wish we could make it down but unfortunately, we will miss everyone by about 10 days. We will be in Ocala for Marks (Chebits brother) wedding Dec 10 - Dec 17, hope to get down to see mom, and everyone that first Sat / Sun. Love and miss everyone...

Not to go on and on about Neil but some people are confused. Neil is NOT a SEAL yet. He did graduate from BUDDS. BUDDS is the phase where they must qualify to become a SEAL. (He no longer gets beat up) Now he is in SQT training. There are some videos on the web with demonstrations of what he will learn to do. After Alaska he will do the jumping out of planes and then if all goes well, he will graduate on June 8th and become a SEAL. I will be in CA for that!!

Yay Mom!!!

Kathy, you not going on about Neil, he's amazing. and I want to 'get it'.

Rick, so sorry we'll miss you!! My menu is just what I'm thinking, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do??? Because if I do all that on xmas eve, will I feel like making a big meal on xmas day? Maybe I'll do all that on xmas day? Maybe not? maybe add pasta or beef, I don't know.

This is so exciting!!! I love having everyone back.
Last night John woke up to go to the bathroom and he woke me to show me it snowed. We had over an inch on the deck. I almost got up to take pictures (I thought some night shots with the snow could be pretty). But then I thought it's really cold and I don't want to get up at 2:30 in the morning so I'll take some snow pictures in the day light. Then I woke up at 5:30 because I could not stop thinking of the snow. I got out of bed and looked out of the window and would you believe the snow was almost gone? I went back to bed--I did wake John to let him know the snow was already melting. I got up this morning and guess what? No snow or sign of snow at all.
How disappointing.

maybe you were both dreaming??

I'm in the most annoyed mood!! SOME people are not happy with me getting rid of a bunch of crap! Because SOME people want me to get rid of MORE crap! Right now! Let's get rid of everything!!! Let's clean up more! GOD! Nothing is ever freaking clean enough! Some people think that!

Kathy said...

Nancy, just get rid of all of "somebody's" crap and they "somebody" will just have to go replace all that crap that "somebody" insisted on getting rid of in the first place.
